The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country on Wednesday, with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few places of the hilly regions, including Sudurpaschim Province, and at isolated places elsewhere.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light to moderate snowfall or rain is also likely at a few places in the high-hill and mountainous regions of all provinces.

During the night, the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and partly to generally cloudy elsewhere. Thunderstorms with light to moderate rain are likely at some places of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces and at isolated places in the rest of the country.

One or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall during the night as well, the division said.

The current weather pattern is being influenced by monsoon winds prevailing across the country.
