According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, monsoon conditions are prevailing across the country.

During the day, generally cloudy conditions are expected over the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places elsewhere. Heavy rainfall is also likely at one or two places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Light to moderate rain or snowfall is expected in some high-hill and mountainous areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and at one or two places in other mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide. Many places in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and a few areas in other provinces, are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at a few places in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two locations in the remaining provinces.

Light to moderate rain or snowfall is expected in some high-hill and mountainous areas across all provinces.
