The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that most parts of the country will remain generally to fully cloudy today, with chances of heavy rainfall in several provinces.

According to the Division, there is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in many areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places in other provinces during the day.

One or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Light rain or snowfall is also possible in a few high-hill and mountainous areas of the country.

For tonight, the Division has forecast generally to fully cloudy skies across the country. Many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces and a few places elsewhere are likely to receive light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning.

There is a chance of heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Light rain or snowfall is also likely in some high-hill and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as one or two places in similar regions of other provinces.

The Division said monsoon winds are currently affecting parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and eastern Lumbini Province. Additionally, western parts of the country are under partial influence of westerly and local winds, along with a low-pressure system formed around West Bengal in India.
