The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in several provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Rainfall is expected in a few places across Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, particularly in the hilly regions. There are also chances of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, including hilly areas, while the rest of the country will see mainly fair to partly cloudy skies. Rain is likely to continue in similar areas, with chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

According to the division, the current weather pattern is influenced by westerly and local winds over the western and central regions, while monsoon winds are affecting most parts of Koshi Province.
