The Meteorological Forecasting Division said light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in a few places across the country on Wednesday, with a chance of light snowfall in high hilly and mountainous regions.

The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the day and night. According to the division, light rain or snowfall is possible at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas.

Meteorologists said westerly and local winds are currently affecting the western and central parts of the country, while most areas of Koshi Province are under the influence of monsoon wind.
