The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country on Wednesday, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in some areas.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain is expected at a few places in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two places in other provinces during the day. One or two places in Koshi Province may also witness heavy rainfall.

There is a chance of light rain or snowfall at a few places in the high-hill and mountainous regions of the country.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy over the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and mainly fair to partly cloudy in other areas.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, and at one or two places in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and other hilly areas. Heavy rainfall is also possible at one or two places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces.

According to the Division, the weather system is currently influenced by westerly and local winds in the western and central parts of the country, while monsoon winds are affecting most areas of Koshi Province.
