The Meteorological Forecasting Division said weather across the country is currently affected by westerly and local winds, with partial influence of moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.

Partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Sudurpaschim provinces and other hilly regions, while the rest of the country will see mainly fair to partly cloudy skies.

Thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall are likely this afternoon in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim, as well as isolated parts of other regions. Light rain or snowfall is also expected in a few places in the high hills and mountainous regions.

The Division has urged the public to exercise caution as the weather conditions may affect daily life, agriculture, health, road and air transport.
