The Meteorological Forecasting Division said that the weather across Nepal is currently influenced by a westerly system, local winds, and moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

This afternoon, skies will remain partly to generally cloudy over Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, including hilly regions, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions. Thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rainfall are likely in some areas of the hilly regions and a few other places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Light snowfall is also possible at a few locations in the high hills and mountainous areas. Gusty winds may occur in parts of the Tarai in Koshi, Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, skies will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while the weather will be partly clear elsewhere. Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the Tarai regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as at a few locations in the hills. Light snowfall remains possible in the high hills and mountains, and gusty winds may occur in parts of the Tarai in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
