The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast partly to mostly cloudy conditions across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces on Tuesday, particularly in the hilly and mountainous regions. Light snowfall is likely at one or two places in the high mountains of these provinces, while hilly areas may experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

In the Tarai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Madhesh and Sudurpaschim provinces, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to mainly fair throughout the day and night. Similarly, in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, night-time conditions are likely to remain mostly clear, while some hilly and mountainous areas could still witness light precipitation and isolated thunderstorms.

The division has urged people, especially those travelling through or residing in high-altitude and hilly areas, to stay alert as localised weather disturbances may cause sudden rain, thunder or snow.
