The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the country is currently under the influence of a westerly system and local winds, along with some moisture-laden air from the Arabian Sea.

This afternoon, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected over the hilly regions of Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the weather will remain generally fair to partly cloudy elsewhere.

Light to moderate rain is likely in some places of the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim and other provinces. One or two places in other regions may experience light rainfall with thunder and lightning. Light rain and snowfall are also expected at a few locations in the high mountainous areas. Some areas of Madhesh Province may witness windstorms.

Tonight, hilly regions are likely to remain partly cloudy, with fair weather elsewhere. One or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces may see light rain with thunder and lightning. Light rain and snowfall are also expected at isolated spots in the high-altitude regions of these provinces.
