The weather across Nepal is being influenced by westerly and local winds, along with moisture-laden air entering from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

This afternoon, skies are expected to be partly to generally cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly areas and at one or two other places across the country. Light snowfall is also possible in some parts of the high Himalayas.

Tonight, hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces will remain partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will see partly clear to partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some areas of these three provinces and at one or two locations elsewhere. Light snowfall is also likely in a few high-altitude regions.
