According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in several parts of the country on Monday, particularly in hilly and Terai areas, while light snowfall is expected in some high-altitude regions.

In Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, the hilly and Terai areas are forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies during the day with chances of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. Light snowfall is expected at a few locations in the high Himalayan regions. Similar weather patterns will continue into the night, though skies in the Terai areas may become mostly clear with isolated rainfall.

In Madhesh Province, partly to generally cloudy skies are expected in the Terai region during the day, with isolated places likely to receive light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. At night, the skies are expected to be mostly clear with light to moderate rainfall possible in a few places.

The Division has urged the public to remain cautious in areas where rain, thunder, and lightning are forecast.
