The Meteorological Forecasting Division said that the country is currently experiencing the influence of westerly and local winds, along with partial moisture-laden air entering from the Bay of Bengal.

The Division forecast partly to generally cloudy conditions across the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly areas of Koshi Province, and a few mountainous locations of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, partly to generally cloudy skies are expected in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the weather will remain mostly clear in other areas. A few places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki may witness light rain with thunder and lightning.

Light rain and snowfall are also likely at a few locations in the mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
