The Meteorological Forecasting Division said that the country is currently experiencing the influence of westerly winds and local air systems, along with moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal.

According to the Division, there will be partly to generally cloudy conditions across the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly regions of Lumbini and Karnali provinces, and at a few other locations elsewhere. Light rain and snowfall are also likely in some areas of the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. A few places in Koshi Province could experience heavy rainfall.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in the hilly regions of other provinces. Light rain and snowfall are likely at isolated places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with chances of heavy rainfall at a few locations in Koshi Province.
