The country is currently under the partial influence of a westerly system and local winds, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said on Friday.

Partial cloud cover is observed in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati Provinces and most of the hilly regions, while the weather remains generally clear elsewhere.

There is a possibility of light rainfall in one or two places of the hilly areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces. Similarly, light snowfall is expected in some high-hill and Himalayan regions.

Temperatures are likely to gradually rise across most parts of the country. The chance of rainfall remains low, which could increase dryness, wildfire risks and air pollution, the Division said.

It has urged the public to adopt precautions as these conditions may affect public health, daily life, agriculture, as well as road and air transport.
