The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the country is currently experiencing the influence of westerly winds, leading to partly cloudy conditions in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and other hilly areas, while the rest of the country remains clear.

According to the division, the weather this afternoon will be partly cloudy in hilly regions, with Koshi and Gandaki provinces likely to see light rain with thunder and lightning in some places. Light snowfall is also expected in a few high-altitude areas of these provinces.

Tonight, hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces will experience partial cloud cover, while the rest of the country will have clear skies.

Over the next 24 hours, isolated places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces may see light rain with thunder and lightning. Light snowfall is also expected in high-altitude areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

The division has urged caution as these conditions may have minor impacts on daily life, agriculture, health, roads, and aviation.
