The country is experiencing influence of westerly winds, affecting weather conditions in different regions.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province’s hilly areas are witnessing partly cloudy weather, while the rest of the country has mostly clear skies. Some parts of the Tarai have light fog or mist.

The division also said, “One or two places in the high hills and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province may see light snowfall. Likewise, fog or mist is expected in the Tarai during the morning hours.”

Authorities have warned that the weather conditions could impact daily life, health, road, and air transport and have urged people to take necessary precautions.
