The Meteorological Department has predicted generally cloudy conditions throughout the country on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in several regions, with a high chance of heavy rain in one or two locations within Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Lumbini Province, and Sudurpaschim Province.
Gusty winds are expected in some parts of the Terai region in Koshi Province and a few areas of Madhesh Province.
For tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is forecast in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as a few places in other provinces. Heavy rainfall is also possible in isolated areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Winds are expected in some areas of Madhesh Province and the Terai regions of Koshi and Lumbini provinces.
The monsoon trough is situated south of its average position, and monsoon winds influence weather conditions across the country. The low-pressure system developed over the Bay of Bengal also has a partial impact.
On Tuesday, Dhangadi recorded the highest temperature at 37.4°C, while Jiri registered the lowest at 16.2°C. Okhaldhunga received the most rainfall in the past 24 hours with 21 mm.
