The country is expected to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions on Tuesday.
According to the Metrological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely at several locations across Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. A few places in the remaining provinces may also receive rainfall, with heavy rain possible at one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Tonight, similar weather patterns are expected. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with a few areas in other regions also affected. Heavy rainfall is possible in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The monsoon low-pressure system remains south of its average position, influencing monsoon winds across Nepal. Additionally, a low-pressure system developing in the Bay of Bengal partially impacts the weather.
On Monday, Janakpur recorded the highest temperature at 40.6°C, Jiri the lowest at 14.5°C, and Jomsom reported traces of rain, with no significant rainfall elsewhere.
