The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast partly to generally cloudy conditions across the country on Sunday, with significant cloud cover in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is expected in various parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Similar weather is likely in the hilly regions of other provinces.
Tonight, the hilly areas will remain partly to generally cloudy, with chances of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms at a few locations in Karnali Province. Some hilly regions in other provinces may experience rain at one or two places.
Meteorological analysis indicates that the monsoon low-pressure system is currently positioned south of its average location, and monsoon winds continue to affect the entire country.
On Saturday, the highest temperature was recorded in Janakpur at 38.6°C, while the lowest temperature was observed in Jomsom at 14.5°C. The highest recorded rainfall occurred in Lumle, with 32.4 mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
In Kathmandu, the maximum temperature reached 30.8°C, with a minimum of 20.3°C, and 0.1 mm of rainfall was recorded.
