The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted partly to generally cloudy skies throughout the country with chances of rain in several provinces on Sunday.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some parts of Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province, while other regions will experience rain in fewer areas.
The forecast also warns of potential heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
For tonight, the Division expects cloudy skies across the nation, with chances of light to moderate rain in Koshi Province and isolated areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
The current weather conditions are due to the monsoon trough being positioned around its average location, with monsoon winds affecting the entire country. A low-pressure system over West Bengal and surrounding areas is also having a partial impact on the weather.
On Saturday, Janakpur recorded the highest temperature at 34.8°C, while Jomsom saw the lowest at 10.5°C. The highest rainfall was observed in Janakpur with 34.2 mm over the past 24 hours.
