The weather across the country is forecast to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout Monday.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is forecast in parts of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with some areas in Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces likely to experience similar conditions.
Heavy rainfall is also possible in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
For tonight, the cloudy conditions are expected to continue. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is predicted for Koshi province, with a few areas in the rest of the provinces also likely to receive some precipitation.
Monsoon winds are affecting the entire country, with the monsoon low-pressure system situated south of its usual position.
On Sunday, the highest temperature was recorded in Janakpur at 38.3°C, while the lowest was in Jomsom at 12.0°C. The heaviest rainfall was observed in Jiri, with 45.5mm of rain in the past 24 hours.
