The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted partly to generally cloudy conditions across the country on Thursday.
Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely in several areas, with a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two locations within Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
Tonight, the hilly regions are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to mainly fair conditions. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is also likely in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two places in other parts of the country.
According to meteorologists, the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon trough is positioned south of its average location in the west and near its average position in the east.
On Wednesday, the highest temperature was recorded in Janakpur at 35.5°C, the lowest temperature in Jomsom at 13°C, and the highest rainfall in Dadeldhura at 27.3 mm.
