The country is expected to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions on Wednesday.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in several parts of Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province.
Other provinces may also see similar weather conditions in a few places. There is a chance of heavy rainfall in one or two locations within Karnali Province.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi Province, Madesh Province, Bagmati Province, and Lumbini Province. The remaining provinces may experience similar weather in isolated spots, with a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two locations within Koshi Province.
The country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon low-pressure line is situated south of its average position in the west and near its average position in the east.
On Tuesday, the highest temperature recorded was 34.5°C in both Dipayal and Bhairahawa, while the lowest was 13°C in Jomsom. Lumle received the highest rainfall at 40.3 mm in the past 24 hours.
