The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted partly to generally cloudy conditions across Nepal on Monday, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in a few places across all provinces. The hilly regions of Koshi Province may experience heavy rainfall at one or two locations.
For tonight, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly regions of the country, will remain partly to generally cloudy. The rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mainly fair conditions. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces, with one or two places in other provinces also likely to experience rainfall.
The country remains under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon low-pressure line is currently located south of its average position in the west and near its average position in the east.
The highest temperature recorded in the country was 35.8°C in Janakpur, while the lowest was 14.5°C in Jomsom, with the heaviest rainfall of 57.1mm in Taplejung.
