On Wednesday, the weather across Nepal is expected to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the day, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in several regions.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, rainfall is expected in parts of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with isolated heavy downpours anticipated in one or two locations within these provinces.
For the rest of the provinces, a few areas may also experience light to moderate rainfall.
As for tonight, the forecast suggests partly cloudy skies nationwide. Rain with thunder and lightning is likely to continue in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
The current meteorological analysis indicates the continued influence of monsoon winds across the country. The monsoon trough is currently situated slightly to the north of this location.
On Tuesday, Janakpur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37.2°C, while Jomsom had the lowest minimum temperature at 14.5°C. Lumle experienced the highest rainfall with 66.5 mm.
