The weather across the country is expected to be partly to generally cloudy on Thursday. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with a few areas in Madhesh Province also experiencing similar conditions. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two locations within Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the skies will remain generally cloudy throughout the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated at some places in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few areas of the remaining provinces. Heavy rainfall may occur in one or two locations within Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Currently, the country is under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough situated near its average position.

On Wednesday, the highest maximum temperature recorded was 34°C in Simara, while the lowest minimum temperature was 15°C in Jomsom. Nepalgunj received the highest rainfall of 111 mm in the past 24 hours.
