The Meteorological Forecasting Division forecast the weather across the country to be generally cloudy on Wednesday.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected at many places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with a few areas in the rest of the country also experiencing similar conditions.

There are chances of heavy rainfall in a few locations within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall predicted in some areas of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in one or two places in Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the skies will be partly to generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few areas of the remaining provinces. Heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The entire country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon trough is situated to the north of its average position.

On Tuesday, the highest maximum temperature recorded was 34.2°C in Dhangadhi, while the lowest minimum temperature was 16°C in Jomsom. Dharan received the highest rainfall of 104.1 mm in the past 24 hours.
