The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast partly to generally cloudy weather with chances of light rainfall throughout the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty wind is likely to occur at some places of Koshi and Lumbini provinces and hilly regions. The same weather phenomena could occur at one or two places in the rest of the country.

A few places in the high hilly and mountainous region could experience light snowfall which is expected to continue until later in the night.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas and mainly fair to partly cloudy in Tarai areas.

The met office said brief rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Koshi, Karnali and Sudur Pashchim provinces and at one or two places in the rest of the country.

The highest temperature was recorded in Dhangadi at 39.5 degrees Celsius while Jomsom’s minimum temperature rose to 11 degrees Celsius.
