The weather today will remain generally cloudy with chances of light rainfall throughout the country.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast generally cloudy weather in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces along with the hilly regions of the country. The rest of the country will remain partly cloudy to mainly fair.

The division said light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly regions and at one or two places of the Tarai regions.

Light snowfall is possible at a few places of the high hilly and mountainous region.

Heavy rainfall is expected to occur at a few places of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces while moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty wind has been forecast throughout the country tonight.

Given possible snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, the department has urged the people to remain alert as there will be partial impact on daily life as well as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport in those areas.

Nepalgunj recorded the highest temperature at 40.4 degrees Celsius while Jomsom experienced a minimum temperature of 9.0 degrees Celsius.
