The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast partly cloudy weather in the hilly areas of Koshi Province, and Gandaki Province and mainly fair in the rest of the country for Sunday.

The division said light rain or thunder, lightning and gusty wind will likely occur at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki province and one or two areas of Lumbini Province and Sudur Pashchim Province.

Light snowfall is possible at one or two places in the country’s high hills and mountainous regions.

Tonight, Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province will be partly cloudy. According to the division forecast, moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places in Madesh Province and Lumbini Province and hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Karnali Province.

Given possible snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, the department has urged the people to remain alert as there will be partial impact on daily life as well as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport in those areas.

Nepalgunj recorded the highest temperature, 42.6 degrees Celsius, on Saturday, while Jomsom’s minimum temperature has been recorded 10.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
