Two injured in leopard attack in Bhaktapur

Two people were injured after being attacked by a leopard in Kaushaltar of Bhaktapur on Friday.
Thirty-five-year-old Amrit Kandel, and Sangeeta Ale Magar, 33, were admitted to the Madhyapur Hospital after sustaining injuries in the attack, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Basanta Pathak.
Personnel from the Division Forest Office of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur took the wild animal into control after shooting it with a tranquilizer gun. The team was led by Forest Officer Ashok Parajuli.
The leopard has been taken to the Jawalakhel-based Central Zoo.
