Valley authorities extend prohibitory orders for 10 more days
There are no significant changes in the order from the last extension on July 15. Public gatherings are prohibited and restaurants are only allowed takeaways.Post Report
Prohibitory orders in place in the three districts of Kathmandu Valley since April 29 have been extended by another 10 days from Monday till August 4 with no substantial change.
A meeting of the Valley’s three chief district officers on Sunday decided to extend prohibitory orders but has not decided anything new compared to last week’s notice despite the cases of Covid-19 rising lately.
On Friday, the District Administration Office, Kathmandu allowed public vehicles to operate medium- and long-distance services following health safety protocols.
The authorities on July 15 had extended the prohibitory order for 10 days.
Public gatherings continue to be prohibited but examinations can be conducted with no more than 25 examinees per examination hall. Restaurants can provide takeaway services only until 7pm. Public vehicles can carry passengers only up to their seat capacities following health protocols.
But monitoring and inspection of the orders by the authorities are only on paper.
