Chabahil area tense after passenger bus hit a student
Irate students take to the streets, set a vehicle on fire

Tension ran high in and around Chabahi area on Monday morning after a passenger bus hit a student prompting a group of students to take to the streets and set a vehicle on fire.
According to Deputy Superintendent Hobindra Bogati, spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, 21-year-old Shristi Neupane of Gorkha was seriously injured when she was hit by the bus with the registration number Ba 4 Kha 5920, early this morning while she was crossing the road.
Neupane, a fourth-year undergraduate student at Pashupati Campus, was rushed to Chabahil-based Om Hospital where she succumbed to injuries.
Irate students then took to the streets and set another passenger bus (Ba 4 Kha 7104), which was en route from Bhaktapur to New Buspark, on fire.
Police have rounded up some students of Pashupati Campus.
