Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki has said that the government should immediately fulfil the demands put forth by Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging his 16th indefinite hunger strike for the past 22 days.
Karki went to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital to take stock of the health condition of KC.
The former Chief Justice said the KC’s campaign has brought many positive changes in the country’s medical education sector, adding that KC’s demands should not be tagged as the demand of some political party.

“Everyone will win and no one will lose by fulfilling the demands of Dr KC,” said Karki, “I believe the Prime Minister also has the same understanding.”
It would hurt the sentiments of all Nepalis if Dr KC’s demands are not fulfilled, said Karki.
