Police arrested Rajan Limbu, a man wanted for robbery and stabbing, after exchanging gunfire with him at Ratopul, Kathmandu on Friday.
Police arrested Rajan Limbu, a man wanted for robbery and stabbing, after exchanging gunfire with him at Ratopul, Kathmandu on Friday.
A team of Metropolitan Crime Investigation Division opened fire at Limbu for self defence afte the latter tried to escape by opening shots, police said.
According to Division Chief Senior Superintendent of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Limbu has sustained bullets in his thigh and been taken to Mahankal Marga-based Trauma Centre, Kathmandu for treatment.
Limbu has been accused of robbing Rs 100,000 from a financial cooperative based in Kakarbhitta of Jhapa on February 26, 2017. He was on the wanted list of police for stabbing Sabin Dahal, a worker at Itahari-based Active Money Transfer, before making off with Rs 300,000 from the money transfer.
