Police have arrested three people with a leopard’s hide from Koteshwor, Kathmandu on Sunday.
A team from Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Mohan Singh Rokaya, 22, of Sigas Rural Municipality-2 in Baitadi district, Anmol Tamang, 26, of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-4 in Sindhupalchok district, and another 16-year-old, whose name and address has not been revealed, said CIB spokesperson SP Sanu Ram Bhattarai.
The trio had allegedly smuggled the animal hide to Kathmandu to sell when the CIB team, acting on a special tip-off, arrested them.
The CIB has handed over the arrestees to Division Forest Office, Kathmandu, on Monday, for further action.
