Locals along the Kalanki-Nagdhunga road section have organised a protest at Dhungeadda of Kalanki against the delay in road construction on Friday.

Vehicular movement was disrupted after the locals carrying placards took to the streets to protest the apathy of the concerned authorities in constructing the road section.

The Kalanki-Nagdhunga road section has been under construction for a long time and the locals have been facing the brunt of dust in dry days and muddy roads on rainy days.

The agitating locals demanded action against the road constrction contractor and immediate construction of the road section.

A large number of police personnel has also been deployed in the area following the protest.
