Nepali Congress has obstructed the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday.
The lawmakers of the main opposition party stood from their seats and protested saying that the government has failed to arrest the actual suspect involved in the rape and murder of 13-year–old Nirmala Panta of Kanchanpur district.
Likewise, NC lawmakers also protested the arrest of Raju Basnetm, Editor-in-Chief of Khoj-Talas daily.
Following the obstruction, House Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara deferred the meet for 10 minutes.
