Govt not to bear medical expenses of anyone seeking treatment abroad

The amended bill states that—Regardless of what has been stated in the existing laws, the Nepal government will not provide expenses to anyone who has to go abroad for medical treatment.
The Education and Health Committee of the parliament prepared the amended bill that will bar the government from allocating medical expenses for those seeking for treatment abroad.
Likewise, the amended bill has also barred doctors and medical personnel at government hospitals and health institutes from working in other places during the government allotted time.
Similarly, the proposed bill has allowed any hospital to operate another hospital as per the available resources and manpower.
