Public holiday plan to clear roads for VIP cars
The government is mulling over declaring public holiday in Kathmandu on August 30 and 31 to facilitate efficient VIPs’ moveme during the BIMSTEC Summit.

The government is mulling over declaring public holiday in Kathmandu on August 30 and 31 to facilitate efficient VIPs’ moveme during the BIMSTEC Summit.
Officials are considering whether to request academic institutions to declare holiday. Second option is odd and even numbered private and public vehicles plying on different days during the summit.
There are around 78,000 vehicles belonging to academic institutions in Kathmandu.
