Nepal Army bomb disposal team has defused two improvised explosive devices (IED) in Bhaktapur district on Tuesday.
The devices planted on the side of the roads at Kalhacha in Suryabinayak and Lokanthali were disposed early today morning.
Metropolitan Police Range Bhaktapur chief SP Himalaya Kumar Shrestha informed they were tipped about the explosives by the locals. Police has beefed up the security in the area and started a search to nab those who planted the explosives.
Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party has called a strike on Tuesday in protest of the arrest of its party cadre. The strike, however, has no affect in vehicular movement or opening of market places.
