Police have arrested district in-charge of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Yogendra Kumal on Thursday.

According to SP Bimal Basnet, Kumal was arrested from Dus Kilo at Gorkha Municipality-12 this afternoon.

“We have detained Kumal for interrogation and investigation after receiving information that he was extorting money,” said SP Basnet.

Police are searching for other members of the party involved in extortion, informed a police source.
