Acting Chief Justice Deepak Raj Joshee will go on leave from Sunday, Supreme Court communication official Kishor Poudel confirmed. Joshee will inform about his leave to the president on Saturday.
Justice Joshee was rejected by the Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Friday by a two-thirds majority. He, however, has refused to resign despite being suggested so by former chief justices.
The daily cause list at the Supreme Court will now be decided by senior most Justice Om Prakash Mishra.
