A man has been robbed of Rs 600,000 at knifepoint in Bhaktapur on Tuesday.
According to the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, two motorbike borne persons approached Parshuram Bajagain, 54, of Nagarkot, Changunarayan Municipality-6, and threatened him with a knife before making off with the cash he was carrying.
Chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, SP Himalaya Kumar Shrestha said Bajgain said two unidentified persons robbed Bajagain of the cash when he was on his way to Suryabinayak from Kamal Binayak-based Nepal Bank for his business payment. It has been learnt that Bajagain had brought Rs 400,000 from his home and had withdrawn Rs 200,000 from the bank.
Police said that they have started a manhunt to nab the culprits.
