Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has directed the government to brief the House of Representatives about the rape of a girl in Kanchanpur.
During the zero-hour and special meeting of Sunday's House of Representatives, the lawmakers drew the government's attention to take action against the guilty, saying a 13-year-old Nirmala Panta of Bhimduttanagar Municipality-3 was raped and murdered in a sugarcane farm.
After the demand of lawmakers, Speaker Mahara drew the government's attention to brief the House about the incident.
The Speaker however said that the issue related to Speaker and Deputy-Speaker could not be held in the House because it is under consideration in the Court. RSS
