Kathmandu
The National Resident Doctors Association (NRDA) has decided to run an out-patient department (OPD) service at Maitighar Mandala in support of Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging indefinite hunger strike in Jumla.
The NRDA, as a symbolic protest, is preparing to run the OPD service at Maitighar on Friday saying that the government was not serious towards addressing the demands and saving the life of agitating Dr KC.
NRDA Chairman Dr Sumit Pandey informed that they opted for the symbolic protest as the government failed to pay heed towards the demands set forth by Dr KC seeking reforms in the country’s medical education sector.
