Police arrested two persons—one Nepali and one Indian—with three kilogram of illegal gold from Nagdhunga in Kathmandu on Saturday.
The arrested persons were travelling in an Indian registered vehicle (UK-02-4684) when they were arrested. Police said they were on their way to India via Mahendranagar.
The arrestees have been named as Manoj BK, 30, of Mahendranagar and Indian national Dipak Kumar Moude. They had arrived in Kathmandu three days ago.
Police is investigating the incident.
