The House of Representatives endorsed government’s policy and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year on Sunday.
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari had presented the policy and programmes on May 21. Lawmakers had held discussions in the policy and programmes for four days.
All the lawmakers except Nepali Congress lawmaker Minendra Rijal and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal lawmaker Anil Kumar Jha withdrew their amendment proposal. The amendment proposal registered by Rijal and Jha was rejected by majority.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had responded to queries regarding the policies and programmes before it was endorsed.
