Police have arrested a man in possession of leopard hide and bone from Lalitpur. A team of Metropolitan Crime Division arrested Nakkal Bahadur Bal with 5.7 kg bone on Tuesday.

Police have also impounded a blue pulsar motorbike (Ba 42 Pa) from Bal. The suspect has been sent to Lalitpur District Forest Office, Hattiban, for further action. Police said Bal was arrested for smuggling wildlife body parts.

According to National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act, 2029-1973, anyone found guilty of the crime under the law would be liable to a fine of Rs 500,000-10,00,000 or five -15 years in prison or both.
